What stays the same when a cell is viewed as a whole?
Element · Relation · Boundary
For a structural map choose cell, membrane, environment and exchange. Explanation needs substances, concentrations, transport mechanisms and measurements. Naming an atom does not calculate quantum states; drawing a planet’s orbit does not explain gravity.
Effect · Time · Feedback
An open system may maintain structure through exchange. One stored quantity m has an inflow/outflow balance. Equal flows keep it constant, not necessarily viable or stable to disturbances. Other relevant variables are needed.
dm/dt = Jin − JoutA balance for a defined conserved quantity without additional sources. Production or decay needs extra terms. Not a general ADL equation for life.
Limits of the claim
Similar diagrams do not prove identical mechanisms. Heat, material transport and social communication are not interchangeable effects.
Test
Define a measurable quantity and test the balance. If the map distinguishes no prediction, it remains interpretative and must not be presented as natural law.
